Chunkier than your usual Vans, but still familiar.

The Knu Skool takes the old-school skate shape and pads it out — thicker tongue, wider laces, heavier feel overall. The leather upper cleans it up a bit, so it’s not just a skate shoe pretending to be one.

Feels solid underfoot. Not especially light, but that’s kind of the point.

What matters:

- Leather upper — a bit tougher, a bit cleaner

- Padded tongue and collar for extra comfort

- Chunkier profile than the classic Old Skool

- Durable rubber sole with good grip

What doesn’t:

- Not subtle — it’s a bulkier look

- Heavier than standard Vans

- Not built for technical performance

Good if you like the Vans look but want something with a bit more presence. Less “minimal skate shoe,” more “I meant to buy these.”
